The creek rose from 2' to 11' in a couple of hours. Because this was the first rain of the season, the soils were extremely hydrophobic. The soils are still dry 2" down. Clearly this was a huge event, lots of soil and debris on the roads and knocked down limbs all over the place. Hopefully the dams caught a lot of the runoff.
